Surprisingly Entertaining FMV Horror Game
I approached the upcoming FMV horror game with low expectations, but the hour-long demo proved to be a delightfully chaotic experience. From the first encounter with the grotesque multi-tentacled specimen, I was genuinely creeped out, which is quite an achievement. As the gameplay progressed, it morphed into an absurdly funny ride, reminiscent of Evil Dead mixed with sci-fi elements. The pacing is relentless, with no time for exposition, ensuring that every choice leads to a new and horrific death. Its blend of slapstick humor and gruesome visuals keeps the tension high while providing comic relief. The demo ends on a cliffhanger, leaving players eager for more, while also wrapping things up satisfactorily. Although concerns linger about the game's full length, the demo is a splatterfest that promises a wild ride when it launches on Steam on September 11. It's a refreshing take on the genre, and I never expected to be this entertained by an FMV game.
