Stephen King's The Institute TV Show Is Off To A Lackluster Start
As a Constant Reader of Stephen King’s works, I find myself a Constant Viewer of the many new adaptations. MGM+'s The Institute struggles to capture the essence of King's storytelling. While the premise is intriguing, the execution feels lackluster and uninspired. Characters lack depth, making it hard to invest emotionally. - Pacing issues hinder narrative flow, leading to disengagement. - Visuals are competent but don’t elevate the storytelling. Despite high expectations, it fails to stand alongside previous adaptations like Mr. Mercedes and Castle Rock. Fans may find it disappointing, hoping for a more engaging experience.
