So far, the Battlefield 6 campaign is satisfied being a Call of Duty cover band

short-reviews Sep 26, 2025

The Battlefield 6 campaign feels like a shallow imitation of Call of Duty, lacking its own identity. While the graphics are impressive, the storytelling is predictable and uninspired. Mission design seems overly familiar, relying on standard FPS tropes rather than innovation. - Characters are one-dimensional and fail to engage players emotionally. - The pacing feels rushed, with little room for character development. Though the mechanics are solid, they are overshadowed by the lack of creativity. The multiplayer mode may redeem some aspects, but the campaign leaves much to be desired. Overall, it’s a missed opportunity to redefine the series. For more details, check out PC Gamer's review.
