In Abiotic Factor, the introduction of the coworker character is both unsettling and intriguing. Crawling out of darkness, he offers players a chance to feed him snacks in exchange for mundane items like staplers or pens. While feeding him does provide some comic relief, the rewards feel underwhelming and hardly justify the effort. "The coworker won't harm you, but his appearance can be startling." He follows players around until they satisfy his hunger, adding a quirky yet annoying mechanic to the game. Instead of a valuable interaction, players might find it more beneficial to ignore him altogether. Ultimately, the coworker's presence seems more like a gimmick than a substantial addition to gameplay. The novelty wears off quickly, leaving players questioning if it's worth the trouble. For a survival game, the lack of meaningful rewards from this character is a missed opportunity.
