Placid Plastic Deck: A Unique Card-Battling Adventure
Placid Plastic Deck is an ambitious successor to the beloved Placid Plastic Duck Simulator. While the original was a charming screensaver-style game, the new title transforms the experience into a card-battling adventure. You play as Zoi, navigating a tournament to mend friendships, which introduces a delightful narrative twist. The graphics blend classic JRPG aesthetics with engaging 3D card battles, enhancing the gameplay experience. However, the script needs polishing; some dialogue feels disjointed. The gameplay is reminiscent of Inscryption, which is a solid foundation but requires more thematic depth. The demo showcases intriguing mechanics, but I hope the final product builds on this potential. As it stands, it's a promising evolution of its predecessor, aiming for release later this year. For fans of quirky indie games, this is definitely one to watch! You can try the demo here.
