Onimusha Way of the Sword Review

short-reviews Sep 2, 2026

The Onimusha Way of the Sword adaptation struggles to capture the magic of its predecessors. While the original series was celebrated for its engaging combat and rich narrative, this version feels disjointed and lacking in depth. The controls are clunky, making combat sequences frustrating rather than exhilarating. - The graphics, though nostalgic, do not hold up well against modern standards. - Voice acting is hit-or-miss, detracting from the overall experience. However, there are moments of charm that fans of the franchise may appreciate. The inclusion of classic enemies provides a sense of familiarity, but it isn’t enough to elevate the gameplay. Overall, it feels more like a relic than a revival. Sadly, this title may only appeal to the most dedicated fans of the series. For a comprehensive look, check out the full review here.
