Its 2025 and my PC still has no idea what audio devices are connected to it
The frustrations of audio device recognition in Windows 2025 are unbearable. Microsoft's updates have transformed an annoyance into a Lovecraftian cognitohazard. Despite my microphone being connected, Windows frequently loses track, forcing me to unplug and replug it. - My coworkers often hear me through the wrong device, despite my settings. - I constantly battle with output selections, which rarely stick. These issues persist through hardware changes and updates, leaving me wondering if it can ever improve. The convoluted settings menu only adds to the confusion, as I navigate through layers of UI revisions. It's a Sisyphean task that seems never-ending, and I can only sigh at the madness of it all. In the end, I’m left questioning if I can ever truly trust my audio setup again.
