I tested Nvidia's AI gaming assistant
Nvidia's Project G-Assist is a promising idea but falls short in execution. The chatbot's recommendations were often outdated and not relevant to my current setup, like suggesting old drivers. It failed to recognize I was playing games, leading to frustrating interactions. "Sorry I missed that! Can you please repeat?" is not the answer you want from an AI. The resource usage was high, causing performance issues rather than alleviating them. While it can access system info, there are better tools out there that do this without the hassle. The initial excitement quickly turned into disappointment as technical problems piled up. Until improvements are made, I wouldn't recommend using it while gaming. Nvidia has potential here, but version 0.1 needs significant refinement. For now, Google remains the superior option for troubleshooting.
