Forge
Forge-class Factory Ship
“Creation is the purest form of power.”
Want to craft your own starship like this? You can generate, sculpt, and export 3D models directly at studio.tripo3d.ai — the same AI studio used to create the Wardrome fleet.
Overview
The Forge-class Factory Ship is the industrial heart of the Wardrome Technocracy — a mobile production complex capable of manufacturing drones, starship components, weapons, and even entire hulls in deep space.
It embodies the Technocracy’s ideal of total autonomy: the ability to build, repair, and expand without ever touching a planet’s surface.
Each Forge is a self-contained orbital megafactory, operating in tandem with Helion-class Power Ships and Nebula-class Harvesters to transform raw energy and gases into solid alloy and circuitry.
It is not only a vessel — it is a civilization’s engine, endlessly reshaping matter into purpose.
Design & Structure
The ship’s body is divided into three massive production bays, arranged along a central axis and connected by industrial conduits that carry molten metal and plasma streams.
Each bay specializes in a distinct branch of manufacturing:
- Bay Alpha: Starship hulls and armor plating.
- Bay Beta: Drone swarms and mechanical systems.
- Bay Gamma: Precision electronics, AI cores, and communication relays.
The ship’s outer hull bristles with assembly cranes, fabrication arms, and docking rings, creating a silhouette that seems to grow and mutate with every mission.
Internal gravity fields can be inverted, allowing materials to flow like liquid through zero-G mold channels in what engineers call the Liquid Foundry Cycle.
The central AI, ARCHON, oversees every step of production, continuously optimizing assembly patterns through predictive modeling and autonomous resource allocation.
Power & Systems
The Forge-class draws its energy directly from nearby Helion-class Power Ships, but also maintains its own Thermoplasma Reactors for redundancy.
Raw materials arrive from Nebula-class Harvesters, stored in the Resource Spine, a kilometer-long belt of pressurized silos.
A network of Nanoforge Chambers uses controlled plasma vortices to sculpt components at the molecular level, while Drone Fabrication Lines build entire squadrons of worker units without human intervention.
Each Forge can produce up to 1,200 autonomous drones per cycle, all pre-linked to the Fleet Mesh Network upon activation.
Operational Role
The Forge-class serves as the industrial backbone of any long-term campaign.
Its core missions include:
- Manufacturing ships, drones, and replacement parts.
- Performing emergency repairs on capital vessels.
- Recycling destroyed hulls into usable alloys.
- Deploying temporary orbital stations and defense platforms.
Its presence in a system signals permanence: where a Forge arrives, infrastructure follows.
History & Deployment
The first prototype, WDS-70 “Prime Anvil,” was commissioned in Cycle 4501 as part of Project Wardrome — the initiative to achieve total self-sufficiency in interstellar operations.
It was responsible for building the second-generation Brobdingnagian hulls entirely off-world.
Over the centuries, the Forge-class has evolved into several subtypes, some specialized in drone warfare, others in megastructure construction.
The largest, WDS-77 “Titan’s Breath”, is said to have built an entire shipyard ring around a dying star — and then sealed itself inside, continuing to build even after contact was lost.

Legacy
The Forge-class Factory Ship is the ultimate expression of the Technocracy’s creed — creation as dominance.
It forges not just weapons, but worlds; not just ships, but futures.
Every spark in its foundries echoes through the void, a hymn of machine and fire.
“The stars gave us their light. We gave them form.”
