Final Fantasy 7 Revelation: A Bloat of Content

short-reviews Sep 12, 2026

Settling into my demo of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, I was slightly appalled by how many tutorial pop-ups I had to click through to just play the game. Granted, the slice I'm playing comes from 'a few hours' into the experience. Our ragtag bunch of environmental terrorists-cum-saviours of the planet have just procured an airship, and Square Enix needs to ensure we all understand the guide rails that keep this wobbly demo in place. - The content feels overloaded, making it hard to focus on the core gameplay. - While exploration is encouraged, the excessive tutorials detract from immersion. I’d much rather have too much to do than too little, but clarity is essential for enjoyment. Final Verdict: The potential is there, but it needs refinement to truly shine.
