Ditching Windows for Linux: A Personal Journey
After two months of using Linux, I can confidently say that the revolution has already happened. While the transition from Windows can be daunting due to its complexities—file systems, permissions, and command lines—the rewards are significant. My gaming experiences on Bazzite have been largely positive; games run smoothly without the usual advertising annoyances. However, caution is warranted for online multiplayer gamers, as many titles—like Fortnite and Apex—don't support Linux well. HDR functionality can also be hit or miss, especially on certain setups. Yet, for single-player gaming, I’ve found the performance comparable to Windows, making it a viable alternative. If you're tired of Windows and its incessant updates, consider trying Linux. You might just find it easier than expected, and free from the corporate grind. Overall, it's a worthwhile experiment for any gamer looking to escape the clutches of Microsoft.
