All I could think while playing was, "God, was it really always like this?" The game feels like a regressive step in many ways, failing to innovate beyond its predecessors. The campaign lacks the depth and engaging narrative that fans have come to expect. - Multiplayer modes seem recycled, offering little in terms of new maps or mechanics. - Cosmetic microtransactions overshadow the core gameplay experience.
