Asus just grabbed the fastest OLED crown with this 540720 Hz dual mode beast of a monitor

short-reviews Aug 21, 2025

The ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W is touted as the fastest OLED monitor on the market. Its impressive 540 Hz at 1440p QHD can be pushed to a staggering 720 Hz at 720p, but sacrifices some resolution. Yet, unlike typical high-refresh-rate monitors, this OLED retains vibrant colors and brightness. The tandem OLED tech promises improved brightness and longevity, which is a welcome change for OLED users. However, the Neo Proximity Sensor feature, while innovative, may not be necessary for all users. The Glossy TrueBlack surface aims to suppress glare while maintaining deep blacks, though it isn't flawless. Design-wise, the transparent backside is visually striking, showcasing the tech inside. Ultimately, while Asus excels in speed and technology, some compromises in resolution and features remain. For serious gamers, this monitor offers unmatched performance but may not be for everyone. Regular updates and real-world testing will determine if it lives up to its claims.
