As an OG Crazy Taxi lover, its new remake might just not be crazy enough

short-reviews Sep 15, 2026

The remake of Crazy Taxi has left me feeling nostalgic yet disappointed. While the graphics have received a facelift, the core gameplay feels watered down. The frantic pace and chaotic charm of the original are diminished, making it less engaging. - New features like online multiplayer are a nice touch, but they don't compensate for the lost essence. - The soundtrack, a critical part of the experience, lacks the iconic tracks that defined the original. Improved controls are welcome, but they feel too sanitized. Overall, this remake may appeal to new players, but for veterans, it misses the mark. For more insights, check out PC Gamer's review. Regretfully, it lacks the crazy spirit that made the original a classic. In summary, it's a fun game, but it could have been so much more.
